Olla Neapolis

Description :

The Ollas are terracotta reservoirs intended to be buried in the ground for autonomous, ecological and economical watering.

This is an ancestral irrigation technique that dates back centuries mainly to the regions of the Middle East and the Mediterranean where water was scarce and precious.

The Romans were known for their use of Ollas in their agricultural practices.

Capacity: 1.5L, 2.5L, 3.5L and 4L                                                                                      

Autonomy: until 10 days depending on the size of the olla

How does an Olla work ?

Thanks to the micropores of the clay, the water is slowly and gradually diffused on the surface of the pot to meet the immediate needs of the plants by optimizing their hydration and water consumption.

How to use

1- Bury the olla and leave the upper part visible

2- Fill with water and close with lid

3- The roots draw their need for water thanks to the porosity of the clay
